Handcuffing

4 Hour Course


For a device that is easy to understand, such as handcuffs, a surprising number of people who are expected to be trained in their use have not received sufficient instruction. Defense Academics presents their handcuffing class with hands on experience. It is recommended that the student wear comfortable clothing. Also training handcuffs will be avaliable, however if the student has their own, please bring them. As there is limited seating, pre-registration and a small deposit is required to hold a seat for a student.






















Handcuffing Course

The 4 Hr Handcuffing Course is given on the fourth Saturday of every month from 1 PM to 5 PM at a cost of $50.00 per student. This class includes training in, but is not limited to: Legal Aspects, Power of Arrest, and Handcuffing Techniques. The student will be assessed on their ability to handcuff an individual in all positions.

As this class will have hands on, it is recommended that the student wear comfortable clothing. Also training handcuffs will be on hand, but if the student has their own, please bring them. Note: If a student is taking the OC Course in the morning, the cost for both courses (on the same day) will only be $90.00.
